Lincoln Community School Bus Driver
Job Description
Position Summary /Job Goal:
The LCS Bus Driver is responsible for the safe transportation of LCS children to and from the
school to their residences.
Performance Responsibilities:
● Drive the school bus safely, transporting children to and from the school to their
residences in accordance with the bus schedule, and undertake additional
school-related driving duties.
● Responsible for ensuring the children’s security and safety at all times.
● Responsible for driving the vehicle in accordance with all road traffic regulations.
● Responsible for ensuring that all faults on the vehicle are promptly reported.
● Responsible for undertaking requisite vehicle inspections on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
● Secondary School leaving certificate or equivalent
● Valid driver’s license (Minimum of C class)
Experience, Skills and Abilities:
● A minimum of 5 years’ professional driving experience for an organization.
● A minimum of 3 years experience of driving a class C sized vehicle or larger.
● A working knowledge of health and safety requirements as a bus driver.
● Experience of providing customer service in any capacity.
● A good command of the English language – reading, writing and communicating.
● A working knowledge of road safety regulations concerning children.
● Experience of dealing with customer complaints.
● Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work with parents, colleagues and all other
school staff.
● Demonstrable experience of adhering to guidelines and policies.
The compensation package for the position is competitive; salary will depend on relevant
