Job Title: HR and Compliance Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources professional to join our fast-growing pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, operational efficiency, and a deep understanding of HR best practices to support and develop our diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to design forward-thinking policies, initiatives, and process improvements that enhance performance and engagement.
• Drive employee engagement strategies to foster a positive work environment and improve retention.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, orientation, promotions, transfers, exits, and offboarding processes — ensuring accurate data entry into HRIS, payroll systems, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of staff, leveraging outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Provide expert HR advisory support on matters including employee well-being, absenteeism, performance management, disciplinary procedures, grievances, and organizational change.
• Manage core HR functions including compensation and benefits, workforce planning, job evaluation, reporting, and policy development.
• Ensure regulatory and ISO 9001:2015 compliance across all operational processes by maintaining, auditing, and improving the company’s quality management system in line with laid down standards and industry regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal compliance programs, ensuring all departments adhere to documented procedures and facilitating corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee general office administration and HR operations to ensure efficient day-to-day management.
• Lead the company’s HR compliance, legal, and regulatory responsibilities, ensuring all HR practices adhere to internal policies and local labor laws.
• Champion talent management and development efforts with an agile, solutions-oriented approach that balances structure with efficiency.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and mediator in employee relations, resolving conflicts and managing sensitive issues with discretion.
• Support a high-performance culture by working with managers to set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and implement development plans.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s or professional certification in SHRM, PHRi , SPHRi or CHRMP is a plus)
• Minimum 3 years’ HR generalist or managerial experience (Experience in a multi-location or pharmaceutical company will be an added advantage)
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws and regulatory compliance standards
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Professional qualification in Regulatory Affairs and Compliance (e.g ISO 9001:2015)
• Demonstrated conflict management skills
• Ability to work as a part of a team and autonomously and be resourceful
