Job Description

Purpose
The objective is to attain sales and revenue objectives by cultivating and enhancing enduring relationships with customers and vendors. This role encompasses business development and deal-making competencies, such as strategic consulting and needs analysis, identification and pursuit of new business prospects, pricing and contract negotiations, as well as collaborating with the Managing Director to propose solutions to potential clients. The aim is to optimize the company’s revenue through astute business practices. The Business Development Manager must possess sharp thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to accomplish targets. The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and position the company’s services as preferred solutions within target markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with organizations to understand their specific product requirements
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and gross profit quotas by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying new customers, as well as selling through strategic partners in various geographic territories
• Take the lead in negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and address objections to seize new business opportunities
• Foster and nurture existing customer and partner relationships in the territory by utilizing question-based selling techniques to identify customer needs and provide relevant solutions
• Support marketing events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns to enhance brand awareness and expand market presence locally and internationally
• Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts that align with assigned quotas
• Manage all communication, order processing, and reporting of customer and partner transactions in the territory
• Act as the field resource for customers and partners, maintaining proactive, dynamic, and effective communication at all times
• Effectively communicate and present the company’s value proposition to executives at all levels of an organization
• Input relevant data into the sales pipeline management process
• Lead the preparation of bids, tenders, and RFPs in collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Work with technical and operations teams to ensure solutions are aligned with customer needs and delivered effectively
• Additional tasks per the directives of the line manager

Qualifications/Experience
• Degree/master’s in Business Administration/Marketing
• Strong understanding of ISP products, digital infrastructure, and enterprise solutions
• Experience working with public sector and regulated industries is an advantage
• Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and proposal development
• Demonstrated success in securing new business and achieving sales targets
• 10+ years of experience in a related role
• A proactive self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team
